ONTOP’s “New Fantasy” has been nominated for the “Best Toy & Game” category at the AWE Auggie Awards. “New Fantasy” is an augmented reality (AR) game that requires players to engage in physical activities such as running, squatting, and aiming to defeat monsters. It is a multiplayer game where players can team up to conquer these challenges.
In addition to “New Fantasy,” ONTOP has also developed resources such as “PuzzIAR_ World Tour” for APPLE and AR brand activations like “Vodafone Rockout” and “SAMSUNG x SnapDragon Arcade.” “New Fantasy” is the studio’s latest release.
Nuno Folhadela, CEO of ONTOP, shared his excitement about the nomination: “It’s our third nomination for an Auggie Award, and who knows, this time we might just bring that beautiful prize home. It would be a fantastic acknowledgement of our innovative game, which is a blend of ‘Monster Hunter’ and ‘Wii Sports,’ and has already engaged thousands of players across the globe in the real world.”
Nuno further comments that the nominated game, New Fantasy, is “the first step to turn the world into a playground and change the way we live forever.”

We are thrilled to see Portuguese studios making significant strides in the industry. ONTOP is developing two augmented reality projects scheduled for release from 2024 to 2025, featuring interoperability between smartphones and headsets.
