We are thrilled to announce that APVP has joined the European Federation of Game Developers (EGDF). This partnership is a significant milestone for both organizations, as it aims to promote the growth and development of the gaming industry in Portugal and across Europe.
“As a freshly established organization, the APVP is thrilled to have been accepted as a member of the European Federation, as this partnership provides an invaluable boost to the Association on its mission to support and expand the local Portuguese game development community. At the same time, the APVP is fully aligned with the EGDF’s vision of a strong European industry and looks forward to making its contributions to the wider ecosystem as well.” – Jeferson Valadares, President of APVP
As a member of EGDF, APVP will have access to a wide range of resources and support that will help us better serve the Portuguese gaming industry. The EGDF is an established organization representing over 2500 game studios across Europe and is committed to stimulating and developing a stable, vibrant and creative European games development sector that is competitive globally and recognized culturally. By joining a federation of 23 trade associations, APVP will be able to network with other industry professionals, attend industry events and conferences, and share their knowledge and experience with other game developers across Europe.
“For years, Portugal has been among the most exciting start-up hubs in Europe. The Portuguese games industry has not received the attention and support they deserve. It will be a pleasure to support APVP in changing this and learn from their valuable insights on the ups and downs of developing a local start-up ecosystem.” – Jari-Pekka Kaleva, Managing Director of EGDF
We believe this partnership will help foster greater collaboration and cooperation within the gaming industry, and we look forward to seeing the many benefits it will bring to game developers in Portugal and across Europe.
